By Nadezhda Serbinenko: Held at the museum complex Dudutki, the two-day medieval culture and music festival Our Grunwald brought together over 500 historical reenactors recreating the six-century-old events for the 9th time.

The enthusiasts reenacted the Battle of Grunwald, which took place in 1410 between the alliance of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Teutonic Knights. The participants were armed with real spears, swords and armor.

Our Grunwald is not only about war reenactment, but also the medieval way of life. The festival always features a medieval fair offering everything for historical reenactment, for instance, clothes, jewelry and even weapons, such as bows.
