12 мая 2013

This was the first Belarusian party in the history of Eurovision. Alyona Lanskaya represented our country and her song.

By Evgeny Perlin: The major event of the week was Alyona Lanskaya’s dress presentation. The dress designed by Konstantinos Koutsomichos is decorated with 70,000 Swarovski crystals. The 2nd rehearsal was held already in stage costumes and makeup. The choreographer Alex Raifovic was pleased with the rehearsal. Operators and producers understood the Belarusian team's ideas and are ready to implement them. After the rehearsal Lanskaya gave a 20-minute press conference. The Belarusian party in Malmo was expected almost as much as the opening of the Euroclub. It brought together almost all the participants of the first semifinal: Austria, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Russia, Ireland, Macedonia and Montenegro. The party presenter was Yuri Yaroshik. In their turn, the guests performed their songs and everyone wished Alyona victory. There were many Swedish celebrities. The popular TV host and former lead singer of A-Teens Marie Serneholt wished Belarus good luck at Eurovision. Alyona Lanskaya’s back-up singers for the first time presented an acoustic version of the song Solayoh. Then, the stage was taken by Alyona herself. The whole Euroclub was dancing. The Euroweek begins tonight around midnight. A black tie party will be held at the Malmo Opera House. From that moment the song contest will be considered open. Final rehearsals of the semifinal will start on Monday.
