Commemorative sign to be opened in Kosmonavtov Street in Minsk

Belarusian capital is preparing to celebrate its 951st birthday. Numerous festive events are planned, and on September 9, a commemorative sign dedicated to Pyotr Klimuk, Vladimir Kovalyonok and Oleg Novitsky will be opened in Kosmonavtov Street. The authors are the sculptor Ivan Misko and architect Valery Mitrofanov. Installation of the six-meter construction has already begun. A granite monument will be decorated with portraits of the heroes of the cosmos, they, by the way, left autographs on the sculpture, and the first Belarusian satellite. The opening is confined not only to the City Day, but also to the International Space Congress, which will be held in Minsk.
