58 new routes to known monasteries

Five of them are in the foreign languages, three of them are cycling.  The festival of guides is held in Minsk these days.


 


By Stanislav Lipsky: The festival of guides was established in 2009 in order to acquaint residents with those monuments near which they live and walk every day.


Such church arts as fresco, mosaic, image painting according to ancient technologies revives and develops at the Holy-Elizabethan Monastery.


A book about the monastery will come off the press in the near future. 3D tour of the monastery is offered on the official site which works in seven different languages.


During the festival it was possible to visit nine capital cathedrals.


An integratable tour with the participation of wheelchair users took place on the Nezavisimosti Square for the first time.


Most viewers liked the tour called Stalinist Empire. The complex of developing the Nezavisimosti Avenue in this style lays claim on being listed in the World Heritage Book of UNESCO. All the tours are free.
