The jubilee 25th Day of Belarusian Written Language will be held in the city of Ivanovo (Brest region). The holiday coincides with two more significant dates: the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing and 1155th anniversary of Polotsk. By tradition the best authors were honored. The National Literary Prize has conferred its awards in seven nominations. This year the jury evaluated 40 applications.
The program of the holiday was more than full. Exhibitions, fairs, festivals, opening of a garden of prayer in Polotsk. The final of the republican contest of reciters Live Classics was held, as well as the Festival of Medieval Culture.
