Belarus remained the only safe transit corridor in the region. The fundamental requirement of the President is to preserve this state of things. Key challenges inside the country are domestic crime, alcoholism, including drunk driving and its tragic consequences, drug trafficking and corruption.
This is something that can affect any family. For each problem there was a detailed discussion and specific instructions. The President set tough targets. For example, the Head of State does not support the new initiatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to restrict the alcohol sale, but demands that the measures of responsibility for drunken brawlers and drivers be toughened.
