The Belarusian aircraft was returned back in Ukrainian air space. The event, which has already led to a Foreign Ministry note. Belavia plane rose into the air from Zhuliany airport. 50 kilometers before entering the airspace of Belarus the Ukrainian air traffic controllers ordered it to return to Juliani immediately. At the airport, the law enforcement officers removed an Armenian citizen from the board and allowed the aircraft to climb into the air. The man was released and went to Minsk on another flight.
The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the incident immediately. The Foreign Ministry summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine to Belarus. Valery Dzhigun received a note in which the Belarusian side protested against the forced return of the Belarusian aircraft. The Belarusian side expects an official apology and compensation of all financial costs and expenses caused by the actions of the Ukrainian side. The Foreign Ministry also instructed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Ukraine Igor Sokolov deliver a similar protest note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
