President joins harvesting campaign

The end of the calendar summer is not the end of the harvest. There's still a lot work to do in the fields. It remains to process only 1 % of the grain area, but there is still harvesting of corn, potatoes and other vegetables, as well as sowing winter crops. 

A good harvest of melons, primarily watermelons, is also expected. The changing climate allows growing them in many farms of Belarus, even in the northern regions. Alexander Lukashenko managed to find time to join the traditional harvest works. After official events on Thursday, the Head of State went to the field to pick up watermelons. The weather favors the work on the ground.
