Belarus' reserves amount to $8.219 billion on March 1

The international reserve assets of Belarus amounted to $8.2186 billion in equivalent on March 1, 2024, according to preliminary data. The corresponding data are published on the website of the National Bank, BelTA informs.

In February 2024, the gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $125.1 million (1.55%) after decreasing by $33.9 million (0.4%) in January 2024.

The largest share in the structure of international reserve assets of Belarus is occupied by assets in foreign currency and monetary gold. According to the National Bank, the amount of foreign currency in reserves amounted to $3.2966 billion on March 1 this year, having increased by $146.2 million (by 4.64%) in February, while the amount of monetary gold - $3.5528 billion, having decreased by $10.7 million (by 0.3%).

According to the main directions of monetary policy, the volume of international reserve assets of Belarus should amount to at least $6 billion at the end of 2024.
