The economy of Belarus shows a good growth rate. The GDP has added 4% following the results of two months. The growing dynamics is recorded in all sectors. The key drivers are industry and trade. There are good results in agriculture - plus almost 7% (they started to grow more tomatoes, cucumbers and herbs). The transportation industry is actively recovering. We are adding both cargo and passenger turnover. As for foreign trade, the growth rate of exports of goods and services has not yet reached the desired figures - 101%. Nevertheless, a positive balance has been ensured. The sales to Asian countries, including China, as well as to the African continent have grown significantly.
The main drivers in exports are the growth of consumer goods and so-called intermediate goods, said First Deputy Economy Minister of Belarus Andrei Kartun. "We continue to add and continue to maintain high rates in terms of physical volumes of products sold. We have almost 113% growth compared to last year," said the deputy minister. - We expect that somewhere near the end of the first half of the year, the cost factor will close, and thus it will affect the export performance. And we expect that still the growth rate of exports will increase at the same physical volumes, we will have much better indicators."
Efficient work of the economy has allowed to ensure the outstripping growth of real incomes of the population.
