“Belarus is the strongest thread of the New Silk Road project,” this phrase from the President’s Address perfectly describes our relations with the People’s Republic of China. This country has a special place on the investment map of Belarus.
Today, the country is in the top ten largest investors for our economy, although 10 years ago, Chinese capital was at zero level! Now the Great Stone joint industrial park is billions of dollars in investments and the most ambitious project of China beyond its borders. The Great Stone is a key point of the Silk Road. More broadly, it is not just railways and highways, it is the economy of tomorrow. Prospects for a global project will be discussed in Beijing at the second Belt and Road Forum. PRC Chairman Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech and hold a round table with participation of foreign leaders. Business meetings are also scheduled. A delegation from Belarus is expected.
