Rostov Region of Russia offers Belarus its ports, but it is necessary to solve some issues at the federal level. This was stated by Governor of this Russian region Vasily Golubev at a meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk, BelTA informs.

The Governor noted the development of cooperation between the region he heads and Belarus, and emphasized the importance of detailed elaboration of further cooperation, so that the plans would be not of a declarative nature, but of an applied nature in the form of specific projects.

In particular, one of the promising areas of cooperation is the use of Belarusian port infrastructure in Rostov Region. "I think that our Belarusian partners, our brothers and friends are interested in the possibility of developing export supplies. As you know, the Azov-Black Sea basin - our ports in Azov, Taganrog, Rostov - is a topic that requires constant support. At the same time we understand that the solution of some issues depends on the federal authorities in Russia. For example, Russian Railways. We're constantly working on it," Vasily Golubev said.

According to him, the increased load on Rostov region should be accompanied by modernization and infrastructure development. "I hope that tomorrow during my meeting with the Government of the Russian Federation we will talk about this with the Deputy Prime Ministers, who are relevant to this. Because it's important for us," added the Governor.
