Relevant departments comment on supply of Russian oil to Belarus

3 января 2020
The supplies of Russian oil to Belarus are suspended. Belneftekhim, Novopolotsk Naftan and Mozyr refineries continue to work on the stocks of raw materials accumulated in December. The workload of enterprises has been reduced to the lowest possible level to meet domestic needs. The contract for the supply of Russian oil to our country has not yet been signed and the shipment was terminated on January 1. The parties cannot agree on prices, transit tariffs, compensation for tax maneuvers. The largest operator of gas stations Belorusneft claims that fuel shortages are not expected in Belarus. The whole system works stably, as usual. Belneftekhim noted that negotiations on oil supplies by Russian companies are ongoing. The President of Belarus instructed to ensure the supply of oil to the country from alternative sources: from ports in the Baltic, in the coming days. Other options are being considered.
