Construction of Nizhinsky mining and processing complex in the south of Minsk Region continues. Now they are building railroad tracks, water supply facilities, as well as administrative buildings. The overall Slavkaly's investment volume for this year is $400 million. Among the key facilities to be built are the power plant and the enrichment plant.
Sergei Garbatsevich, Deputy Director for Construction, Slavkaliy LLC: "After the installation of two transformers and their commissioning, the mine will be ready, the factory will also be provided with temporary and permanent power supply. Among other things, it will allow us to ensure the start-up and adjustment of the equipment that will be installed".
It should be noted that the mine will become the second enterprise in Belarus for the production of potash ore and potash fertilizers. It will produce up to two million tons of potassium chloride per year.
