Government looking for alternative sources of oil supply

As the First Deputy Prime Minister noted, negotiations with Russian suppliers are complicated.

The latter, with the exception of Slavneft, are not cutting their supply premiums. But the presidents of Belarus and Russia agreed in principle at the end of 2019 in St. Petersburg that there should be no deterioration of conditions for Belarus. The Belarusian refineries look for the alternative sources, said Dmitry Krutoy. Negotiations on oil supplies should be completed in a short time. After all, the alternative sources can turn into a loss of a large market for Russian partners, and for official Moscow this will be an inevitable deterioration in relations with the main ally, experts say.
