Today Russia is the main trade partner of our country. It accounts for almost 40% of Belarusian exports and 60% of imports. Such indicators result fr om close interaction at the regional level. One of the main partners of our country is Irkutsk Region. Moreover, the positive dynamics has been maintained after the meeting of the Belarusian leader with the governor of the region. A package of new agreements will be signed these days at the fifth forum of the regions of Belarus and Russia.

A few years ago a store with Belarusian products opened in Irkutsk. Here you can find meat, dairy products, pastries and groceries. Fresh products are brought here at least once a week. The shop cooperates with enterprises from all over Belarus, with each position being chosen very carefully.

There are plans to open two more stores with Belarusian products in Irkutsk, but for now you can make an online order for retail or even a wholesale delivery. Today, several dozens of Belarusian enterprises cooperate with the Russian region: food and light industry, engineering and elevator production. During the last three years, the turnover indicators have been growing.

Sergey Levchenko, Governor of Irkutsk Region of Russia:

“We are developing very seriously and there are already outlets in 30 cities wh ere Belarusian products are sold. Our fairs are held in Belarus. Of course, this is very interesting for all residents of the region ”

A new package of agreements will be discussed within the framework of the Forum of Regions. And in November in Brest, during the third meeting of the working group on interregional cooperation, a delegation of the Irkutsk region headed by Sergey Levchenko and representatives of the Belarusian side will present new opportunities for cooperation of small and medium businesses.
