Presidium of Council of Ministers announces measures to achieve Belarus’ average salary target of 500 dollars

Creating new jobs, developing entrepreneurship and initiative, as well as increasing exports and reducing costs are among solutions to achieve the country’ average salary target of 500 dollars, announced at today's session of the Presidium of the Council of Ministers. In general, the meeting considered the results of Belarus’ socio-economic development over January and measures for reaching positive economic trends in the first quarter of the year. According to Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, during the first month Belarus lacked 1.5% of GDP due to oil shortfalls. The Prime Minister requested to comprehensively solve the problem of calculations for products supplied to trade networks and tasked the Ministry of Antitrust Regulation and Trade and the Economy Ministry with studying the issue and suggesting options for improving the situation.
