The trade and economic prospects of the Minsk Region and Chinese provinces were discussed yesterday by a delegation of the Minsk Region Executive Committee and our industrialists, who visited Guangdong province. As a result of business forums, Slutsk cheese plant signed contracts worth $ 9 million. The Celestial Empire is also interested in our meat products and timber.
One of the main achievements of the visit is the opportunity to attract Chinese investment in the economy of the Minsk region. Now, a road map for cooperation is being drawn up for all positions.

Talking about exports over the past year, exports of meat and dairy products and timber to China more than doubled. This year we have more than half a billion dollars of exports to China. We also discussed the possibility of attracting Chinese investments into the economy of Minsk Region. In addition to the meat and dairy industry, we visited major companies producing household appliances, cars, including electric cars. We suggested possible options for cooperation.
This year we are expecting a visit of Guangdong Province authorities to the Minsk Region. We have been maintaining commercial and friendly relations with this particular region for over 10 years.
