It is possible to resolve the issues of Belarusian meat and milk supplies to the Russian market this week: a working meeting of the heads of agrarian departments of the two countries is scheduled for Friday and will be held in Moscow.
This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus. Leonid Zayats notes that first of all it is necessary to discuss the food balance: that is, to determine the range, volumes and terms of deliveries in order to fit together the economic interests of the two countries. The agenda also includes the removal of temporary restrictions introduced for Belarusian meat and dairy enterprises a week ago.
During the working meeting, the issue of creating a single dairy market will probably be discussed.
The situation with the production and supply of our products was discussed at the export forum Dairy Belarus which started today. Experts are convinced that the so-called dairy wars damage the economies of both countries.
For the fourth time, the main negotiation platform gathered in Minsk about 300 participants of the dairy market from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and China. The focus is on new markets and new products. The first day of work brought together about 300 participants from 15 countries.
