Delegation of Turkmenistan on three-day visit to Belarus

Belarusian specialists are ready to take part in the construction of a second potash mining plant in Turkmenistan. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Anatoli Kalinin during a meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Turkmen commission for economic cooperation.

Recently, Garlyk Ore Mining and Processing Plant has been commissioned. For Belarus, this is one of the most ambitious projects implemented internationally. Today, a tender is under way to build another company, where the experience of Belarusian professionals can be useful.

Within the framework of a three-day visit to Belarus, a delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan will visit the Stadler enterprise. There is also an interest in studying the experience of building our second ring road.

Anatoli Kalinin, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus: "We discussed the prospects for further growth, and the delivery of our Stadler products, such as electric trains. We talked about increasing the supply of medical equipment and drugs. We also discussed building up the capacities of our Belarusian brands - MAZ and Minsk Tractor Works. This year, we plan to supply 550 MAZs and tractors."

Also, there is a proposal for Belarusian road workers to take part in the construction of roads in Turkmenistan. Over the past year, the mutual trade turnover between the countries amounted to about 300 million dollars. Belarus and Turkmenistan have set the task to reach 0.5 billion dollars.
