What awaits the Union State natural gas market?

Belarusian Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich spoke about what awaits the natural gas market of the Union State. "An appropriate action plan has been prepared and approved, and the corresponding Belarusian-Russian working group has been created," announced the minister.

There are three main sets of measures:

1) Natural gas prices formation for 2022. All necessary documents have been signed and the price has been set.

2) Natural gas prices formation for 2023. The work should be completed by August 1, 2022 with the signing of the relevant documents.

3) Defining and agreeing the principles of operation of the Union State's unified natural gas market. By July 1, it is necessary to adopt an appropriate proposal and agree on specific principles.

Among the pluses we can highlight is the creation of a uniform economic environment and the primary market of energy resources, increasing the competitiveness of the economy of industrial enterprises, the real sector in Belarus and the well-being of citizens.
