The Belarusian President is currently on a visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of its leadership. On January 30, Alexander Lukashenko is expected in Southern Africa. The Belarusian leader is scheduled to visit Zimbabwe and hold talks with the president of that country. Africa is called a promising continent. And the current struggle for a place under the African sun just proves this. The competition of the world's leading powers to strengthen their positions is growing every year. And the popular thesis is becoming louder and louder: Africa will determine the future - not only the future of its people, but the whole world.

The strategy of diversification of Belarusian exports implies the development of relations and trade with countries in different parts of the world. Belarus offers its partners a variety of models of cooperation. There is already a good basis in Africa.

Contacts with Zimbabwe and its current leader have been actively maintained for the last 7 years. In January 2019, President Emmerson Mnangagwa was welcomed in Minsk. By the way, then Alexander Lukashenko assured that he would definitely visit Africa personally.

Then it was decided to outline a plan for the development of relations, to determine the projects and areas of interest to us, from the supply of all kinds of machinery to participation in agricultural projects, construction, energy, mining, geological exploration, as well as in medicine and education. By the way, recent decisions are along these lines. The President has approved the draft agreement with Zimbabwe on the promotion and mutual protection of investment and the draft memorandum on mutual recognition of education documents.
