Belarus interested in development of relations between Customs Union and India

This was announced today by the Prime Minister of Belarus at the meeting with Speaker of the People's House of the Indian Parliament Meira Kumar. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the parties could enter into an agreement on a free trade area, which will contribute to closer economic cooperation. As for the bilateral relations, the Belaussian Prime Minister noted their confidential nature and the transition from trade to investment cooperation: there are already several joint innovation projects. In turn, Meira Kumar said that Belarus is India’s true friend, and the Indian Parliament consisting of 42 houses welcomes expansion of cooperation with our country in various fields.

Last year, Prime Minister of Belarus paid an official visit to India. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the two countries have serious partnership potential and the arrival of the Indian delegation to Belarus is able to open a new page in the relations between the states.
