Belarus supplied dairy products to 59 countries last year. This was announced by the head of the main department of the processing industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Vadim Pobedinsky at the press conference "Quality decides: the Belarusian dairy industry in 2024", reports BelTA.

"Belarus supplied dairy products to 59 countries in 2023. I will give some figures to confirm the quality of our dairy products. If we take all the milk produced in the country for 100%, 60% in the form of dairy products are exported. If we take cheese, then one and a half to two months of work of our industry is enough to provide the domestic market, the rest of the time - it is work for the foreign market. If we take butter, about 75% goes for export. In general, the dairy industry has the largest share in the export of agricultural products - about 40%," said Vadim Pobedinsky.

According to him, the dairy industry in Belarus is highly developed. "It's a constant process, the work at the enterprises is going on every day: it's professional development, technical re-equipment, technology, know-how, development of new products. Very close work is going on in cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences, in particular, with the Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry," said the head of the main department of the processing industry.
