Belarus and Cuba have adopted joint decisions for the development of trade relations. This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko after the talks with the President of Cuba. The leaders noted a serious potential for cooperation. The main thing is that there are no barriers to the growth of mutual trade.

Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of Cuba: "Dear friend! This visit to Belarus is very important for us. As you noted, this is an opportunity to continue our discussion, which started 3 years ago. I have very warm memories of that visit. Belarus is one of the first countries I visit after the election."

The friendly foundation of the relationship, which was built with Fidel and then with Raul Castro, will be strengthened now.

As a result, agreements, programs and memoranda have been signed in various fields, from education and justice to science and media. The central document is a joint statement of the leaders, in which the Presidents emphasize the allied nature of relations. And though Cuba's economy has been severely affected by sanctions, there is a clear political will to promote cooperation.
