Belarus and Equatorial Guinea may set up a joint venture to catch fish in the Atlantic.

The possible areas of cooperation were discussed at the meeting of Minister of Agriculture and Food Sergei Bartosh with the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development of Equatorial Guinea, BELTA reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Sergei Bartosh arrived in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea as part of a government delegation.

During the talks the parties discussed promising issues of cooperation. Among them are the construction of agro-towns and training of Equatorial Guinean specialists in the agrarian institutions of Belarus, the possibility of creating a joint Belarusian-Equatorial Guinean enterprise to catch aquatic biological resources in the Atlantic Ocean, as well as their processing and export. The parties identified the provinces in which further work on the implementation of agro-towns projects will be carried out.

"At the end of the day, talks were held on bilateral cooperation between the two republics to agree on bilateral documents to be prepared for signing during the summit visit," the press service said.
