By Alexander Khorovets: Each of the four products by Belarus’ major dairy brand Grandma’s Jug - cottage cheese, sweet cream butter, chocolate-glazed cheesecake and whey-based drink - was marked by prizes at the Superior Taste Award which featured over 1,500 entrants from 120 countries.
The food and beverage quality competition in Belgium is referred to as the food industry Olympics. 120 leading chefs and sommeliers assess the products by blind tasting, estimating only the smell, taste and colour of the products without knowing the brand. Two gold stars are awarded only to the products that have received more than 80% of the experts’ votes
No preservatives and colour additives is the main secret of Grandma's Jug. The company actively uses advanced technologies based on advanced formulations. The plant processes approximately 2,000 tons of milk per day and produces more than 300 varieties of products. Grandma's Jug products are known not only in Belarus but also far beyond its borders, exported to almost all over the world - from the CIS countries to Germany, Iran and China.
