Alexander Lukashenko voices key goal for Belarusian industry

The strategic task for the industry is to create assembly plants of Belarusian machinery in the supporting countries. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the meeting on the state and tasks of industrial development, BelTA informs.

The head of state reminded that food security is one of the most vital issues for Africa. Therefore, agricultural machinery and equipment are in particular demand there.

"I know these difficulties. With all the complexities, difficulties, you have to work there. And whoever wants to work, works there," said Alexander Lukashenko.

Thus, today there are agreements to supply more than 3 thousand tractors, 80 combines and 30 dump trucks to Zimbabwe. More than 150 tractors - to the Togolese Republic. In 2024, there are plans to supply machinery to Nicaragua, Vietnam, Iran and Pakistan.

"Why are we not working with Equatorial Guinea after all the high-level talks? Obviously, it is necessary to go further, to expand cooperation. And realize that our strategic task is to create joint assembly plants of Belarusian machinery in the supporting countries. The key goal today is to diversify exports. Everything that is required from me for this purpose is taken immediately. The necessary conditions have been created, and you need to use financial support measures for Belarusian exports as actively as possible," the President demanded.
