More than 400 criminal cases related to violation of public order initiated since August 9

More than 400 criminal cases have been initiated in Belarus since August 9 on committing crimes related to violation of public order. This was stated by Prosecutor General Andrei Shved. Many of these cases are already at the stage of completion of the preliminary investigation. The perpetrators will be brought to justice. As for other statements of citizens, Belarus is a state governed by the rule of law, and there is not a single example of unlawful actions being not registered and considered in the prescribed manner. The Prosecutor General noted that there are procedural terms, legal decisions will be made on each statement. He also stressed the need for impartial and fair enforcement of the law by all. According to Andrei Shved, the current situation in the country is controlled: ordinary crime is declining, but at the same time, prosecutors note some tendencies that require the intervention of the supervisory authority. The radicalization of protest sentiments is noted.

Renovated building of Lepel District Prosecutor's Office opened


The Prosecutor General took part in the opening of the building of Lepel District Prosecutor's Office. A major overhaul was carried out here for 2,5 months with thermal renovation of the walls and a complete replacement of communications. Ramps and lifts were built so that people with disabilities could easily get into the building. Andreu Shved gave the team a Geely car as a present to carry out operational and official activities, and handed over the shoulder straps of the counsel of justice in connection with the assignment of his rank to prosecutor of Lepel District Vitaly Zhigimont.
