A bomb that was found in the territory of the former BelExpo National Exhibition Centre is being prepared for transportation to a shooting range, where it will be destroyed. A shell that dates back to the Great Patriotic War was found earlier this morning during ground works - it was detected by an excavator driver. At the moment, emergency squads and demining teams are working at the site. The place is cordoned off. The German bomb weighs 250 kg, its fragment dispersion is 2 km. The BelExpo National Exhibition Centre is located on Yanki Kupaly Street, Minsk. The building is now being demolished, and a new multi-purpose complex will be built there.
