The main media holding of the country announces the beginning of accepting applications for participation in the National qualifying round of the international song contest Eurovision-2018.
The organizer of the National Selection is the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. The selection is conducted in accordance with the Regulations developed by the organizer and the Competition Rules established by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
Information about the Project is posted on the official website of the organizer www.tvr.by and in the newspaper SB Belarus Today.
In order to participate in the contest, one should send an insured parcel to the address: 220807, Minsk, st. Makaenka, 9, marked "National qualifying round of the Eurovision Song Contest-2018. The last day for receiving applications is December 26, 2017.
The project is carried out in two stages: the selection round (consideration of applications and audition of participants) and the final.
Until January 14, the professional jury will have conducted an open audition of all applicants and determined no more than fifteen performers to participate in the finals. During the audition, online broadcast will be held on the Company's website www.tvr.by.
The final will be held no later than on March 1, 2018, in the format of a television live concert.
The official representative of our country at the international song contest Eurovision-2018 will be determined during the broadcast of the finals of the national selection by televoting and professional jury vote on the classical formula 50x50.
The international song contest Eurovision-2018 will be held in May in Lisbon (Portugal). Semifinals will be held on May 8 and 10, the final - on May 12.
Traditionally, Belteleradiocompany will broadcast two semi-finals and the final of Eurovision-2018 on the TV channel Belarus 1 and the international satellite television channel Belarus 24.
The organization of the national qualifying round of the International Eurovision Song Contest-2018 is carried out by Belteleradiocompany as the only member of the European Broadcasting Union in Belarus.
