First National Channel announces the start of the 11th season of the radio contest "Young Talents of Belarus"

On March 15, applications for the XI National creative radio contest "Young Talents of Belarus" will be accepted. The contest will be held in April and May under the banner of the Year of Historical Memory. 

Young singers and musicians from all over the country are traditionally invited to announce themselves in one of the seven creative nominations. During the three rounds participants will have a combined format of auditions: along with remote viewing of video performances, face-to-face meetings with the panel of judges in the Big Studio of the Radio House, including with the accompaniment of the symphony orchestra of Belteleradiocompany are planned.

The categories "Variety Vocal", "Instrumental Music" and "Heritage" for soloists and bands will feature children from 10 to 21 years old. The category "Academic Vocal" will feature older boys and girls: from 17 to 25 years old. All contestants have to prepare for the performance of three pieces of different character, one of which is a Belarusian author. Songs in the native language will be the theme of the first round of the pop and folk nominations. Instrumentalists and classical vocalists will try to impress the professional jury with the performance of works of their own taste.

Video recordings for the first round and applications along with all the necessary documents, a full list of which is specified in the regulation on the site www.radio1.by in a special section, are accepted until March 31, inclusive, to the address: 220114, Minsk, Krasnaya Street, 4 or on talentbelarus@gmail.com with the note "Young talents of Belarus - 2022".

The winners of the radio contest will be announced in May - all of them will receive diplomas of laureates and souvenir prizes from the First National Channel, as well as an opportunity to hear themselves on the FM-waves. More details can be found on the air of the First National Channel of Belarusian Radio, in the Telegram Channel "Radio_1" and in the newscasts of the TV News Agency on Belarus 1.

The "Young Talents of Belarus" project has been held since 2009; more than three thousand singers and bands have taken part in it since then. 

Since 2013, the winners of the competition regularly become scholarship holders of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus to support talented youth.
