Belteleradiocompany invites participants of National Eliminations for Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020

Belteleradiocompany announces the acceptance of applications for participation in the National Eliminations for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020. There are significant changes in the project's regulation on the procedure for organizing and conducting the project.

The final decision on the participation of Belarus in the junior competition and the format for choosing our representative is postponed for as long as possible, due to the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the world, the recommendations of the EBU and the specifics of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Poland (it is planned to be held in a TV Studio and there are still restrictions on entry to European Union countries). The decision will be made not later than September 7.

However, the applications for participation in the eliminations will start to be accepted. They must be e-submitted by August 15. The focus group will select up to 15 participants in the final not later than August 24.

E-applications contain a number of mandatory supporting documents, this year they added a video of a live performance of the competition composition, filmed on amateur camera or mobile phone camera. 

The final of the national eliminations can be held both in the form of an audition without a TV or Internet broadcast (not later than September 15), and in the usual format of a gala concert (not later than October 16). If the final is held in the form of an audition, the professional jury will determine the winner, who will become the official representative of the Republic of Belarus at the international competition, if our country takes part in it, by a majority of votes. 

If a decision is made to organize the final in the form of a gala concert, Belteleradiocompany will publish the rules for selecting the winner by October 1.

The decision on participation or the format of participation of a representative of Belarus will be made by Belteleradiocompany together with the EBU in case of force majeure, related to the organization of the international competition in Poland.

All rights related to the selection process belong to the project organizer - Belteleradiocompany, the right holder of the Eurovision brand in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
