Tomorrow Minsk hosts the 3rd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia
The third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will be held in Minsk on 7-8 June. The rights of citizens in humanitarian issues and the youth policy are the key themes for the forum. The forum is also aimed at expanding the Belarusian-Russian regional cooperation and promoting direct contacts between regions, enterprises and organizations in the social, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, humanitarian and other areas. The program of the forum features numerous events. It is expected that the forum will be attended by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin. A plenary session scheduled for the second day of the forum will discuss the coherent social and economic policy in the Union State.

Today Belarus is going to take part in the session of the IAEA Board of Governors in Vienna. The Belarusian delegation is led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov. The agenda includes preparations for the 60th session of the IAEA General Conference, the review of the annual report on the IAEA operation, matters concerning nuclear safety, the development of nuclear sciences and technologies, technical cooperation, the application of nuclear armaments non-proliferation guarantees. Valentin Rybakov is expected to meet with top executives of the IAEA Secretariat during the session.
Today Belarus marks the Day of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk
Over a thousand of believers joined the religious procession in Polotsk, dedicated to the Day of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk. Metropolitan Pavel of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus conducted the liturgy at the Savior and St. Euphrosyne Convent in Polotsk. Over a thousand of Orthodox Christians from different countries came to Belarus to venerate the relics of the saint.
