On 11 May, Kiev will host the second Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. TV Channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24, as well as Belteleradiocompany’s website www.tvr.by, will broadcast the event live. The broadcast will start at 10 pm.

NaviBand, the representatives of Belarus, will perform their song "Historyja Majho Zyccia" (Story of My Life) under No. 14. The second Semi-Final will also feature representatives of Serbia, Austria, Macedonia, Malta, Romania, the Netherlands, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland, San-Marino, Croatia, Norway, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, and Israel.

The countries that participate in the second Semi-Final, as well as Germany, France, and Ukraine, can vote for the performers. The telephone numbers for voting will be announced by the commentators, and will also be displayed graphically during the broadcast. In accordance with the rules of the contest, Belarusian viewers cannot vote for the song representing their country.

Evgeny Perlin, a news host for TV Infoservice (ATN), will comment the second Semi-Final of Europe’s biggest music TV show in Belarusian.

Meanwhile, the Belarusian delegation, which includes Belteleradiocompany’s representatives, NaviBand, and their creative team are actively preparing for the second Semi-Final. Their schedule already includes vocal and choreography rehearsals, as well as meetings with the media, and it is now becoming increasingly busy. Today, they are having a final rehearsal, where NaviBand are to present their full contest show perfectly.

Yesterday, the first Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 was held on the stage of the Exhibition Center in Kiev. As a result, out of the 18 semi-finalists, the representatives of Moldova, Azerbaijan, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Armenia, Australia, Cyprus, and Belgium entered the top ten.

These performers will join their colleagues from the Big Five - the countries that enter the Grand Final directly (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom), as well as Ukraine - last year’s winner.

All in all, 42 countries take part in the 62nd Eurovision Song Contest. Ukraine is hosting the music forum for the second time. Earlier, the country hosted the contest in 2005. This year, the contest’s slogan is Celebrate Diversity. The logo of the contest features a traditional Ukrainian necklace, which consists of a large number of beads. For the first time in the history of the contest, the presenters will be men only - Ukrainian TV presenters Vladimir Ostapchuk, Alexander Skichko, and Timur Miroshnichenko.
