Opening ceremony of Junior Eurovision-2018 to bring together more than 300 people

The opening ceremony of the Junior Eurovision-2018 which will give a start to big Euro Week will be held on November 19 at the national exhibition center BelExpo.

All 20 delegations of the participating countries will walk along the red carpet, share their impressions with journalists, hear the words of the organizers and producers of the competition.

The ceremony will be attended by more than 300 people, including contestants themselves and their accompanying delegations, invited guests, volunteers, Belarusian and foreign journalists.

The official start of Euro Week will be given by BTRC Chairman Ivan Eismont and Executive Director of Eurovision Jon Ola Sand. The ceremony will be hosted by Denis Dudinskiy and Anna Kviloria. They will communicate with young performers on the red carpet and offer them to "Make a Wish!"

One of the most striking elements of the opening ceremony will be the 3D mapping show, which will include different genres of stage art: dance, folk music, computer graphics and light projection 3D show. By combining art, national images and symbols with innovative technologies, the show will reveal the historical and cultural heritage of our people and modern Belarus. Also during the opening, a draw will be held, which according to the rules of the European Broadcasting Union will determine the countries performing under the first and last numbers, as well as the number under which the host country of the competition - Belarus - will perform.

Not only Belarusian viewers, but also fans of children's "Eurovision" in all European countries, as well as in Australia will be able to see the opening ceremony on TV. Belteleradiocompany will record the ceremony and provide broadcasting to all interested broadcasters-members of the EBU.

Channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24 will show the TV version right after "Panorama". It can also be seen on the official website of the media holding www.tvr.by.

Meanwhile, on the main stage "Minsk-Arena" rehearsals continue with stand-ins temporarily replace the real participants of the competition.

The delegations of the participating countries will arrive in the Belarusian capital on November 17-18.
