On August, 10, the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus was visited by representatives of the pre-mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to monitor the elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the sixth convocation.

On August, 10, the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus was visited by representatives of the pre-mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to monitor the elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the sixth convocation.

On August, 9, members of the preliminary Election Observation Mission of the Parliamentary Assembly held a meeting with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko and members of the standing committees of the House of Representatives on Human Rights, National Relations and Mass Media, as well as International Affairs. After a meeting with Chairman of the Central Commission of Belarus for Elections and National Referenda Lidiya Yermoshina MEPs visited Belteleradiocompany.

The meeting was held today in the largest media holding of the country and was attended by Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko, First Deputy Chairman Alexander Salamakha, Deputy Chairman Marat Markov, general producer Kirill Kazakov, representatives of the Directorate of International Relations of the Media Holding, head of the PACE pre-mission Gisela Wurm, Austria, and her colleagues from Armenia, Norway, Montenegro, France, Poland, Italy.

The sides discussed the political climate ahead of the parliamentary elections and the role of the media in such an important event for the whole country. During the visit the PACE delegation got acquainted with the structure and policy of the broadcaster BTRC, as well as the conditions created for the candidates, who will start TV and radio campaigning on August, 15.
