The main intrigue of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 has resolved. The final show took place on November 20 in Malta.

The winner of this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest is 10-year-old singer Mariam Mamadashvili from Georgia. Belarus’ representative Alexander Minenok ended up in the 7th place with 177 points. All in all, the prestigious music forum was attended by young talents from 17 countries.

This year's winner of the International Children's Song Contest Eurovision-2016 was determined by three compositions of the jury: the national children's and adult juries, as well as the professional jury.

The live broadcast of the contest was held by the TV channels Belarus 1 and Belarus 24, as well as by the official website of BTRC - tvr.by. About 20 thousand people watched live broadcast on the media holding portal, 47% of them were using mobile devices.

During the contest about 2500 people participated in the discussion in the Eurovision group in the social network VKontakte. 63% of the users were from Belarus, 23% - from Russia, 7% - from Ukraine. Publications in support of Belarusian representative Alexander Minenok scored 742 likes within 2.5 hours.

Preparation of the Belarusian artist for the international Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 was carried out by Belteleradiocompany as the country’s only member of the European Broadcasting Union.
