The National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus was visited by representatives of the European Broadcasting Union

The National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus was visited by representatives of the European Broadcasting Union. They are paying a visit to Minsk from October 31 to November 3.

Representatives of the European Broadcasting Union are planning to visit Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus on the eve of the Eastern Partnership Summit. Their goal is to visit a number of organizations and institutions in the regions participating in the forum, including Belteleradiocompany, which is the only member of the EBU in our country.

Representatives of the EBU - Senior EBU consultant Boris Bergant and Head of Member Relations, Eastern Europe, Radka Betcheva - met with the leadership of Belteleradiocompany and directors of the structural divisions of the media holding. The parties determined the directions and prospects for further cooperation.

During the visit, Boris Bergant and Radka Betcheva got acquainted with the structure and broadcasting policy of Belteleradiocompany, visited the hardware and studio complex, and the Belarusian Television and Radio Museum, which is located within the walls of the media holding, where the guests were presented with unique exhibits and photo documents.


BTRC signs agreement with Khabar Agency

The Cooperation Agreement between the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus and Khabar Agency of Kazakhstan was signed within the framework of business visit to Astana and participation of Belarusian enterprises and organizations in Expo show.

Khabar Agency is a “TV family" of four channels, broadcasting in Kazakh, Russian and English languages, the largest electronic mass media holding of Kazakhstan.

The talks and the signing ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko and Chairman of the Board of JSC Khabar Agency Almagul Akhmetzhanova.

Agreement in the field of broadcasting provides for the creation of favorable conditions for the exchange of messages and materials, exchange of experience, provision of broadcasting in the territory of the two countries, mutual support in shooting organization, both in the territory of Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

"First of all, direct bilateral cooperation opens the possibility of providing information about our country’s international audience, in particular entering the Kazakh media space," pointed out the head of media holding International Relations Larisa Telitsa

By the way, the TV companies are united by membership in such international broadcasting associations as the European Broadcasting Union and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union.


Belteleradiocompany Chairman Gennady Davydko is paying a visit to Serbia on 27 February-2 March, 2017

A series of meetings and talks with colleagues in the television and radio sphere have been held, resulting in the signing of a cooperation agreement.

On 27 February, Gennady Davydko met with Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia Vladan Vukosavljevic. The meeting discussed development prospects of Belarus-Serbia cooperation in television and radio broadcasting. The host party expressed interest in cooperating in the mutual promotion of public awareness of the culture and traditions of the two countries.

The first day of the visit was also marked by talks between the Belteleradiocompany Chairman and Director General of the public broadcasting company Radio Television of Serbia Dragan Bujosevic, during which the main cooperation directions between the two broadcasters were outlined. In particular, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing direct creative contacts, exchanging materials reflecting the history and modern development of both Belarus and Serbia, as well as implementing a joint project aimed at the mutual development of inbound tourism.

The negotiations were followed by the signing of a cooperation agreement between Belteleradiocompany and the public broadcaster Radio Television of Serbia.

BTRC signs agreement with Latvian Television

National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus signed an agreement on cooperation with the public limited liability company Latvian Television.

Public Limited Liability Company Latvian Television is the main component of a large media holding in Latvia, which includes such major TV channels as LTV1 and LTV7.

The signing ceremony was held today at the BTRC. It was attended by Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko, heads of structural divisions of the media holding, director of the state limited liability company Latvian Television Ivars Belte, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Belarus Martins Virsis and Counselor of the Embassy of Latvia in Belarus Dace Rutka.

The parties discussed the possibility of establishing direct creative contact, sharing of television content, including documentary and feature films, programs in the sphere of culture, education, science, entertainment, sports and news, as well as implementation of joint projects in the field of television.


Belteleradiocompany joins Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union

On February, 5, 2016 the media holding received a letter from the head office of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) with the message that BTRC was admitted to the Union as an Associate by a majority vote of the Regular Members.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union was founded in 1964 as a nonprofit, non-governmental professional organization. The head office of the Union is located in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Currently, ABU is one of the largest platforms for the promotion of the interests of broadcasters at the regional and international levels. The Union includes 280 broadcasters from 68 countries and regions. Associate members of ABU are such giants of the media market as the National Broadcasting Company of Germany (Deutsche Welle), the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), French TV (France Télévisions), National Association of Broadcasters of America and others. Total coverage of the audience of broadcasters-members of the Union is about 3 billion people around the world.

Membership in the ABU offers the prospect of dialogue and exchange of experience with major players in the broadcasting sphere, acquisition of foreign content and broadcasting one’s own content around the globe.

Belteleradiocompany Chairman Gennady Davydko visits Cuba

During the visit, a series of meetings and talks with colleagues in the field of television and radio were held. As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed and cooperation prospects were outlined.  

A Memorandum of Understanding aimed at cooperation in the radio and television sphere was signed by the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus and the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. During the meeting with the Cuban Institute authorities promising cooperation areas were outlined. Among them is the exchange of news materials reflecting the history and modern development of both Belarus and Cuba, as well as the implementation of joint projects presenting the life of the youth of the two countries. The Belteleradiocompany Chairman also held a working meeting with the head of the international radio station Radio Havana Cuba.

BTRC hosted a working meeting of Chairman of the media holding Gennady Davydko with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Belarus Martins Virsis.

During the meeting the sides discussed the directions of development of the Belarusian-Latvian cooperation in the field of television and radio broadcasting.

The parties discussed the possibility of establishing direct creative contact, exchange of television content, including documentaries and feature films, programs in the sphere of culture, education, science, entertainment, sports and news, as well as implementation of joint youth projects in the field of television.

A meeting with representatives of the Indian Office of the "Asian News Channel" took place in Belteleradiocompany



A meeting with the delegation of the Indian Office of the "Asian News Channel" took place at the National State TV and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus on March 27. 
The "Asian News Channel" office (ANC) is one of the largest news and analytical media of India, which ALSO has offices in the United States of America, Great Britain and Canada. The ANC consists of printed, electronic and internet media, and includes 65 offices in Asian and Pacific Region. 
One of the divisions of the "Asian News Channel" is the TV news internet channel - makes globally important reports and covers about 180 million users throughout the world, as well as cooperates with numerous countries and international organizations. The channel is very popular with the population of the region. It is a supplier and distributor of various pieces of news for foreign news channels that don't have offices in the Asian region. 
The Belarusian side was represented by Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko, Deputy Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Marat Markov, Director of TV channel "Belarus-TV" Kirill Kazakov, Director of the Department of License Programs and Film Show Evgeny Bonch-Osmolovsky, Director of the International Relations Department Vladimir Morozov.

The Indian side was represented by Director, Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Office of the "Asian News Channel" Sanjiv Mallik and Head of the Department for Business Relations Development of the ANC Kaur Ramnid. They were accompanied by Head of the External Relations Department of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus Larisa Telitsa. 
The attendees thoroughly discussed the structure and information policy of the company, prospects for the development of professional cooperation and information exchange. The Indian side received a draft cooperation agreement between "Asian News Channel" and Belteleradiocompany, which is planned to be concluded this year. 

"Week of Diplomatic Broadcasting " on TV channels of Belteleradiocompany together with "Arirang TV" Korea's company



"Arirang TV" Korea's company together with channels of Belteleradiocompany will organize a week of joint broadcasting from February 13 to February 24. The event will be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Korea. 
Belarusian TV viewers will see programs about traditional Korean culture, tourism, leisure and the national cuisine. Korea's channels will televise programs about Belarus and Belarusians. 
TV viewers of "Belarus 1" will watch documentaries: "The Secret of the Korean Economic Miracle", "Tour de Korea: Ancient City of Gyeongju", "Tour de Korea: Snow-Covered Mountains," "Tour de Korea: An Amazing Rafting." New story-lines within the framework of the "Diplomatic Broadcasting" will be aired on "Good Morning, Belarus!" program as well. 
TV channel "Belarus 2" will broadcast the documentary film: "City of a Thousand Lights: Seoul Nights" and two culinary programs: "Rice is the Staff of Life" and "Kimchi: Korean Specialty Dish". 
Special videos shot by journalists of Belteleradiocompany will be televised for Korea's TV viewers: " Belarusian Land: Review", "Alba Ruthenia: Skaryna Code", "The Story of One City: Minsk", "Treat of Polesie", "Lake District". In addition, short commercials about Belarus will be broadcast as well. 
Story-lines about life of Korean people in Belarus and Belarusian people in South Korea will be on air of the two media holdings. 

Belteleradiocompany signs agreement on cooperation with Georgian Public Broadcasting



On February 2 the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus signed the Agreement on bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation with Georgian Public Broadcasting. 
The negotiations and ceremony of signing held in Belteleradiocompany was attended by the Chair of Belteleradiocompany Gennadi Davydko, Deputy Chair Marat Markov, Georgian ambassador to Belarus Georgy Chkheidze, the Director General of Georgian Public Broadcasting Gigory Chanturia and other representatives of Belteleradiocompany and Georgian TV company. 
The signed Agreement provides for mutual exchange in contents, informational support and further development of cooperation. 
During the meeting the parties studied the structure and broadcasting policy of both companies and discussed the opportunity of creating joint TV projects, exchange in creative crews, video materials and special programs for broadcasting in the air and on-line. 

Meeting with representatives of information agency Xinhua held in Belteleradiocompany.


A Meeting with representatives of information agency of the Chinese People's Republic Xinhua was held in Belteleradiocompany on December 15. 
The Belarusian party was represented by Senior Deputy Chair of Belteleradiocompany Alexander Salamakha, Deputy Chair Marat Markov, director of the License Programs and film show Evgeny Bonch-Osmolovsky, Director of the International Relations Vladimir Morozov. 
The Chinese party at the meeting was represented by the Director General of the General Asian-European Department of Xinhua Zan Tegan, the Head of the Administrative Center of the General Asian-European Department of Xinhua Sun Tsunli, correspondent of the General Asian-European Department of Xinhua Gen Zuibin and the leading correspondent of Xinhua in Belarus Sun Pin. 
During the meeting the parties thoroughly studied the structure and informational policy of both countries, discussed the avenues of further development of professional cooperation and informational exchange, shred creative propositions and ideas. 

Belteleradiocompany signed cooperation agreement with Hong Kong Company “Phoenix”


On September 27 National State TV and Radio Company of Republic of Belarus signed cooperation agreement with TV Company “Phoenix” (Phoenix Television, Hong Kong, separate administrative district of People’s Republic of China). 
TV Company “Phoenix” is one of the largest international multi-channel broadcasters in Southeast Asia with total audience of 250 million people all over the world. The signed Agreement assumes the mutual content exchange and information support, as well as further cooperation development. 
Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Lu Guicheng, Chairman of the Board and the Director General of the TV Company “Phoenix” Liu Changle and other representatives of Belteleradiocompany and TV Company “Phoenix” took part in the negotiations and the signing ceremony of the Agreement, which took place at Belteleradiocompany. 
During the negotiations the parties in detail got acquainted with the structure and the broadcasting policy of the companies, and also discussed the possibility of creating joint TV projects, creative teams exchange and mutual use of Internet broadcasting experience. 

Working meeting with representatives of Vietnamese television took place at Belteleradiocompany


On September 26 representatives of National Television of Vietnam (Vietnam Television, VTV) visited National State TV and Radio Company of Republic of Belarus. 
VTV is the largest national media holding of Vietnam, joining different media platforms, including satellite, cable and Internet broadcasting. The return visit of the representatives of the Vietnamese television took place within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement, signed between Belteleradiocompany and VTV in February of this year in Hanoi. 
During the negotiations the Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko, the President of the Vietnamese television Tran Bin Min and the directors of structural subdivisions of Belteleradiocompany and the Vietnamese television satisfyingly noted the mutual interest in further activation of cooperation and practical filling of the Agreement. 
The parties also discussed the possibility of implementation of different theme joint projects, exchange of creative groups, video materials and special programs for broadcasting on-air and in on-line mode. 

Meeting with representatives of Vatican Radio took place at Belteleradiocompany



Deputy Director General of Vatican Radio ("Radio Vaticana") Father Andrzej Koprowski paid a business visit to Belteleradiocompany on June 21. 
In the course of the visit Deputy Director General of Vatican Radio Father Andrzej Koprowski and Head of the Belarusian version of Vatican Radio Father Alexander Amelchenia met with Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Gennady Davydko and First Deputy Chairman Alexander Salamakha. 
At the meeting Father Andrzej Koprowski thanked Belteleradiocompany on behalf of Vatican Radio for the long-term fruitful cooperation effected within the limits of the European Broadcasting Union, including TV and radio transmission of Christmas and Easter papal divine services from Vatican. The parties also discussed possibilities for implementing new projects. 

Meeting with representatives of Latvian broadcasting company "Dautkom" took place at Belteleradiocompany



Representatives of the Latvian broadcasting company "Dautkom" paid a business visit to Belteleradiocompany on May 13. 
In the course of the visit members of the representative delegation headed by Director of the Dautkom TV Inna Plavoka met Deputy Chairman of Belteleradiocompany Vasily Maniuk, heads of structural subdivisions and journalists of the company. 
At the meeting the parties discussed issues of establishing closer professional contacts, sharing experience and creative ideas for further entering into business cooperation. 
The broadcasting company "Dautkom" (Daugavpils City) is one of the largest cable operators of Latvia. It carries broadcasts of satellite TV channel "Belarus-TV" 

EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre paid official visit to Belteleradiocompany



Director General of the world's largest association of national broadcasters Ingrid Deltenre visited Belteleradiocompany for the first time in history of cooperation between Belarus and the European Broadcasting Union on February 23. 
During the visit Ms. Deltenre got acquainted with the management, structure and broadcasting policy of the BTRC, which represents our country in the EBU, and also discussed current issues and new projects of Belteleradiocompany and the European Broadcasting Union with her Belarusian colleagues. 
EBU Director General Ingrid Deltenre stated: "We highly appreciate cooperation of Belteleradiocompany and the European Broadcasting Union. We exchange information and video files. And it is very important, because due to such measures Europe and all participants will learn about Belarus. We hope that our cooperation will be developing in future. We will have new joint projects. It was agreed at a meeting with Belarusian colleagues." 
The European Broadcasting Union, EBU (English: European Broadcasting Union, EBU;) is a European organization, the largest association of national broadcasters in the world. EBU HQ are located in Geneva. The EBU was formed on February 12, 1950, by 23 European TV and radio stations of the Mediterranean region. Today the organization consists of 74 television and radio companies from 56 countries of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. 
Being the largest national media holding of Belarus, Belteleradiocompany represents our country in the EBU since 1993, and actively takes part in numerous activities and projects of the European Broadcasting Union, including an audiovisual content fraud.
