The priority area of cooperation is the involvement in international organizations and associations. Since 1993, Belteleradiocompany has been recognized as a full member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and its only media representative from Belarus. This gives us unlimited access to news video materials transmitted via Eurovision and the possibility to order satellite transmissions from any part of the world on short notice.
In 2002, Belteleradiocompany entered the National Association of Broadcasters of Russia and the CIS and is so far also the only media representative from Belarus in the ranks of the Association’s 345 members.
On February, 5, 2016 the media holding received a letter from the head office of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) with the message that BTRC was admitted to the Union as an Associate by a majority vote of the Regular Members.
Efforts are being made to expand the representation of Belteleradiocompany in other international organizations. For this purpose, representatives of the company regularly attend the top international sectoral events and forums (MIPTV, MIPCOM, DISCOP, etc.) and forge business partnerships with their counterparts from other countries.In order to develop and maintain international ties, the International Relations Department was created within Belteleradiocompany in 2002 with the primary focus on coordinating all company’s activities in the international field. As the company’s core department providing mediation with international organizations, foreign broadcasters and public organizations of other countries, the International Department monitors international activities of the mass media, coordinates contract activities with international partners.
