Traditionally, senior officials of the country, members of the government, heads of state administration bodies, major enterprises, universities and banks, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the media have been invited to the event at the Oval Hall of the Government House.

This year the Belarusian public is especially widely represented among the invitees, including deputies of past convocations, representatives of the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans, the Republican Public Association Belaya Rus, the Belarusian Union of Women, university students and representatives of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, cadets of military schools, journalists of regional media.

For the first time, the President delivered the annual Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly in April 1997. Since then, each Address of the Head of State has a wide public response - this is a review of the situation in the country and clear guidelines for the future. This year, the Address will conceptually reflect the main accents in the socio-economic development of the country at the current stage, based on the analysis of appeals received before the Big Conversation with the President, which took place on March 1.
