First Russian military echelon arrived in Belarus to take part in trainings "Zapad-2009" yesterday.
The military men were met at Zaslonovo station, Vitebsk Region. The echelon consisted of engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Russia. They will participate in preparations for the strategic military exercises "Zapad-2009".
About 12,000 military men, half of whom are the Russians, will take part in the trainings.
