Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev hold informal meeting in Alexandria agro-town
Belarus President and Russia's PM met in Alexandria agro-town following the session of the Union State Council of Ministers held in Mogilev the day before.
The agreement on the meeting was reached back in January. The Belarusian head of state showed the Russian guest his hometown. Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev tasted natural birch sap, took pictures near the Belarusian leader’s home and visited the Trofimova Krinitsa spring restored under the President’s instructions. The meeting lasted for more than three hours. Alexander Lukashenko and Dmitry Medvedev discussed all the important issues on the current agenda, including bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional and international agenda.
International Investment Forum in Vitebsk brings together businessmen from 20 countries
Four cooperation agreements between companies from Vitebsk region and foreign partners. These are the results of the first day of the International Investment Forum in Vitebsk. It runs for the fifth time and has become a significant event in the business life of the region. This year it welcomed over two thousand participants from 20 countries. More than a hundred companies, from small family businesses to giants of industry, presented their products and offers for cooperation. At the opening ceremony the region's best companies received special awards.
Eurovision 2016 completes list of finalists following second semifinal
The list of Eurovision 2016 finalists is now complete. The day before Sweden hosted the second semifinal. Among others, it featured Belarus' entry Ivan. The audience supported the Belarusian singer enthusiastically. Both the delegation room and the press-center cheered for Ivan, eagerly looking forward to the voting results. Yet the Belarusian did not make it to the final 10, which featured Latvia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Australia, Ukraine, Serbia, Poland, Israel, Lithuania, and Belgium. The world will learn the name of Eurovision 2016's ultimate winner on Saturday's night.
