The National Interest: Attempt of color revolution in Belarus demonstrates U.S. failed foreign policy
23 ноября 2021
The attempt of a color revolution in Belarus was a failure of the U.S. foreign policy. This opinion was expressed by American magazine The National Interest. Instead of strengthening relations with Minsk, Washington wanted to eliminate an inconvenient politician and put its puppet at the helm of the country. For this purpose, protests were organized in Minsk last year. For the same purpose, sanctions packages were introduced. The National Interest notes that the color revolution in Belarus failed because of Alexander Lukashenko's successful mobilization of executive power, which prevented the Belarusian Maidan. The American magazine acknowledges that the Belarusian President has strengthened his popularity inside the country. Any future attempts of restoration in diplomatic relations with Minsk will now require a great deal of effort. And this situation has been created by the West itself, concludes the National Interest.
