News about the demolition of monuments to the Red Army soldiers appear every week. The leaders in this race are Poland and the Baltic States. The most important is that ordinary people in these countries don't agree with actions of the authorities and try in every possible way to keep the heroic past of the ancestors.

Madness. Hate. Weakness. That is how we can describe the situation, which has lasted for more than six months on the territory of European countries which resulted demolition, destruction of monuments erected to the soldiers of the Red Army.

Have Europeans forgotten who brought them freedom, or can't they forgive the Soviet warrior for his heroism, devotion and sacrifice in the name of the Motherland? There is another option: hatred for the descendants of the victors, who loudly speaking about the victory over fascism, exposing the facts of criminal actions of SS battalions and collaborators, which were created in the territories of European countries, mostly in the Baltic States, Poland and Ukraine.

The Baltic operation finished on November 24, 1944. Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia were liberated. The price of victory in this territory was 60 thousand killed Soviet soldiers and officers. It is a pity that the Estonian government also forgot about it. The Estonian authorities have been waging a massive war on monuments and even graves of fallen Red Army soldiers for six months. Often the liquidation of monuments and transfer of bodies takes place secretly in order not to enrage the local population. In Poland, the news that the Belarusian authorities had allegedly avenged themselves and destroyed the burial places of the Polish and German servicemen spread like lightning. This is a lie. There is not even a question of any demolition. In contrast to the Polish authorities, who in recent years have demolished more than a hundred monuments to Soviet soldiers.

Today in Belarus there are about nine thousand monuments and burials of the Great Patriotic War. Each of them is a sacred place for us. We beautify war graves, patronize the monuments, build the weapons of victory on their pedestals. Another striking example of deeds rather than words in the wind is the opening of a military equipment park in Polotsk on the Immortality Barrow in September. The Ministry of Defence allocated 15 pieces of military equipment. Modern weapons and a sacred place of memory symbolize the unity of the past and the present.

Dear neighbors, you are deeply mistaken if you decided to destroy the memory of generations through the elimination of Soviet heritage sites. It will not work. Even the people of your states will never forget all the exploits of the Soviet soldiers. Faith and memory cannot be stolen from anyone.
