Volovoi: Europe follows the path of economic self-destruction

10 сентября 2022
European politicians are driving the European Union to its collapse with their own hands. The short-sighted decisions with the consequent results, namely the destructive effect on the economy of the whole zone, contribute to this.

This opinion was shared by the Lithuanian expert Vadim Volovoy. According to him, if the authorities don't change the course, it will lead to the ruin of the whole European Union.

Vadim Volovoy, doctor of political sciences (Lithuania):

“Even if the situation reaches a critical level, if  the production really starts to close, business  start to suffer from bankruptcies, the population start to freeze, even in this case, there is no guarantee that the political leadership of Europe will change its line. In Europe, we may reach a definitive turning point when Europe completely separates itself from Russia. We are talking about an energy wall, a political wall, and a humanitarian wall: what we are witnessing now will have very serious consequences, especially economic ones. Europe is like the Titanic, which is heading for the iceberg, and it understands that it is ahead, but it doesn't want to turn off, and I don't know what they hope for. It's very hard to understand this stubbornness. And sometimes you get an impression that, for some unknown reason, Europe is on the road to economic self-destruction.”
