The situation in Avdeyevka will be the main subject at the today’s meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Ukraine in Minsk. The agenda also includes the war prisoner exchange issue.
The silence mode agreement in the Donetsk region has not been implemented. The city has been left without water and electricity as shelling continues. An emergency situation has been declared. 11 warming centres equipped in Avdeyevka have provided help to about 1,000 people.
The United Nations has called for the mandatory implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Starting today, Ukraine has taken up a one-month chairmanship of the UN Security Council. The Security Council’s activity plan is expected to be adopted in the near future.
It is to be recalled that Ukraine is one of the 10 non-permanent members of the UN Security Council.
