The outrageous situation in Ukraine continues with the memory of the Soviet past being destroyed. In Chernigov, militants of the territorial defense demolished a monument to Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, which stood in one of the schoolyards. In 1941, Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya got behind enemy lines. She was first woman Hero of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War. Caught by the Germans, 18-year-old Zoya was tortured, brutally beaten. But she didn’t give the valuable information and was publicly executed for that. Now the descendants of the Nazis are vandalizing the monument to her.

Situation in Mariupol

Meanwhile, Mariupol got completely under the control of Russian troops, except of the plant “Azovstal”. About 2,000 Ukrainian soldiers are hiding there. However, peaceful life is returning to the city. According to local residents, people have now a dire need of medicine, food and other bare necessities.
