The Lithuanians are increasingly going to Belarus for cheap fuel and goods, but the political elite of the Baltic States dislikes it. It is noted that on the instructions of their authorities, border guards and customs officers artificially create bottlenecks at the checkpoints so that it would be difficult for Lithuanians to visit Belarus. A citizen of Lithuania, returning from abroad, can sit there for 10-12 hours. But the obstacles do not work, because "the flow of cars increased five-fold when Belarus introduced visa-free travel," the Baltic Internet edition DELFI quoted the representatives of the Customs Department. However, Lithuanian residents are free to decide which country's budget they want to leave their finances to.
