Istanbul hosted the first round of signing an agreement on the creation of a corridor for the import of grain from Ukraine and the removal of restrictions on the supply of Russian products for export. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Minister of Defense of Turkey and the UN Secretary General. The same document is to be signed by the representatives of Russia, Turkey and the UN.

According to the terms of the agreement, grain export will be carried out through three ports. The control of the harbors "Odessa", "Chernomorsk" and "Yuzhny" remains under the control of the Ukrainian side. The presence in them of other ships, except for those that should ensure the export of grain and fertilizers, is not envisaged.
